I took my mother to have a consultation with Mr Cartwright. He was patient and considerate of my mother's thoughts and feelings. He addressed her at a human level and did not hurry her along to either get through the day or to the next patient. He addressed her concerns clearly and with compassion and made her feel at ease. His exposition of my mother's recent medical journey was lucid and he created a palpable sense of compassion. My mother said he was a 'lovely doctor'. And so, long may he reign!
